Welcome to the Navajo Nation Sex Offender Registry for public view (NNSORP).

NNSORP is the Navajo Nation's public sex offender registry as required by the Navajo Nation Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act, 17 N.N.C. 2100 et seq. NNSORP provides information to the public about convicted sex offenders who reside, work, or go to school within Navajo Indian Country.

The accuracy of the information is based on the information provided by sex offenders at the time of their registration with the Navajo Police Department (NPD). NPD regulary updates NNSORP, but you are cautioned that on any given day not all the information may be current.

If a person believes any information contained in NNSORP is incorrect, he or she should go in person to report this to a local Navajo police district.

NNSORP is made available through funds from the U.S. Department of Justice (USDOJ) for the Tribe and Territory Sex Offender Registry System (TTSORS). USDOJ does not control and is not responsible for the information contained in NNSORP.

As of June 12, 2014, Amendments to the Navajo Nation Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act now allow for immediate arrest of sex offenders who fail to register or who abscond. In addition, sex offenders convicted of sex offenses prior to July 2006 can now be required to register with the Navajo Police Department if they are on probation or parole for the prior conviction or if they are convicted of a felony after July 2006.
